Carriage Museum

These vehicles are from our collection that we only bring out for "very" special occasions.

I love telling the history of some of these carriages. Some make them historical, not just because of what it is, but whom might of rode in it

I hope you enjoy this page and will be adding to it as I restore them.

Thank you

Circa 1900 Clarence Dignity Coach

We call this the "Churchill Coach",

It is the actual coach that Sir Winston and Ladybird Churchill rode in for Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in 1953.

It is the Crown Jewel of our collection. (Pardon the Pun)

Circa 1890 Brewster Landau-lette

This is another very rare carriage.

The Brewster Coach Company was known for building the best carriages in the US, Brewster eventually constructed bodywork on a variety of chassis, winning a special partnership with Rolls-Royce America Inc.

Our Brewster Landaulette is one of only a few built and according to the Carriage Association of America, the only one still in useable.

Research done by the Santa Barbara Carriage Museum, found this carriage dating back to 1850. Built by an unknown carriage builder in the Smokey Mountains. It was built high off the ground, giving clearance on rough terrain, Giving it the name "Mountain" wagon. The boat like body sits on leather slings known as "Thorough Braces" that are wrapped over "C" shaped wood frame, giving it a very smooth, rocking like motion on rough roads.

Will be adding more pictures of our many vintage carriages a

Circa 1880 Cunningham Hearse

Built by the James Cunningham, Son & Co in Rochester N.Y. A premier coach manufacturer.

We acquired this coach from a movie studio in 2009. It was used in Gun Smoke, Cat Ballou and some John Wayne movies to name a few.
